Urban Designer (Kamideas, Seville 2012)

Position : Urban Designer (internship)

Employer : Kamideas
Location: Seville, Spain
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities:
  • Research and analysis of urban processes, context and best practice
  • Production of an urban design guide for the Torneo Ave in Seville
  • Strategies for small-scale and long-term development opportunities

In early 2012 I was selected to participate in the 'Orange & Green' European Internship programme in Seville, funded by Leonard Di Vinci and coordinated by Beam and Europarx

I spent three months working in Seville and was placed at Kamideas, a young urban affairs and regeneration consultancy. I worked on research concerning problematic connections between the historic and contemporary areas of Seville.

Living in Seville was a fantastic experience. I was able to conduct some personal research and design projects, and could not help but reflect upon the differences in urban culture between Andalucia and England.
