Design project - MA Urban Design 2011 - Sheffield School of Architecture
- Re-configure the lay out of the existing back-to-back terraces; knocking two single aspect houses into one - creating a more generous double aspect house, and transforming every other road into back gardens providing private space for each house.
- Using perimeter blocks of terraces for the new development.
- Ensure that the total population is great enough to support community based facilities
- Allow the growth of a hub of these facilities at the edge of the site closest to the neighbouring community, so that they may serve a wider population; primary school, doctors, grocery store etc.
